After Nicola Porpora's opera "Germanico in Germania" had long been considered lost, the traditional label DECCA now honours the three-act work with a world premiere recording. With world-class soloists such as Max Emanuel Cencic ("Arminio", "Ottone") and Julia Lezhneva ("Graun Arias", "Händel"), the Italian-language baroque opera, which premiered in Rome in 1732, is now accessible to a larger audience for the first time. The work, recorded with authentic instruments under the baton of Jan Tomasz Adamus and Capella Cracoviensis, is about the Roman General Germanicus (Max Emanuel Cencic) and plays in Lower Germania.
